About
Elliot Aitken is a freelance theatre director based in London.
As a trans and disabled director, he values accessible and inclusive practice, and his work often incorporates queer reimaginings of classic texts. He is a lover of horror theatre, musicals, and new work.
Since graduating in late 2024 from Mountview’s MA Theatre Directing course, he has collaborated with the Mango Ensemble’s Mentorship scheme, directing and assisting new fringe, ensemble led work.
Outside of directing, he can be found running tech, stage managing and prop making for drag shows, particularly SlayStation - a trans-led video game themed drag night which has performed at Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club, The Pleasance and The Clapham Grand.
He is currently searching for more professional opportunities to transition to a full-time Directing career, both in directing and assisting roles. He is also available for access consultancy, workshops and dramaturgy.
